Hi, I am Jenna Crawford! I'm a passionate strategist and community builder currently residing in the Vancouver BC, but with strong roots in Portland and Los Angeles.
I'm a natural born listener and observer, keen on understanding how people and groups work and how I can bring out the best in teams. I am a huge believer in the power of communication and how to leverage sport and tech for good.
While in LA, I transitioned from a career in social work to marketing, where I truly found my passion and creativity in the endurance sports industry. I spent six years on various marketing teams growing the running industry for companies including Conqur Endurance Group (The Los Angeles Marathon) and in fitness tech start-ups Strava and Zwift. I leveraged my expertise in running culture and community to create integrated campaigns that drove meaningful brand growth and authentic communities of valuable consumers and ambassadors.
I found running as a hobby in my adult life and built a career around sports -- however, I am a lifelong athlete and have always said 'basketball was my first love'.
I have always been inspired by the power of sport and sport culture, and in my current role, develop partnership strategy for the Portland Trail Blazers, where I help bring to life the best marketing opportunities allowed by the NBA to drive business results for our partners and memorable moments for fans.
As an athlete, I've also modeled with some of the top sports brands and welcome opportunities to help bring authenticity to campaigns of any size.
Select clients include: Nike, New Balance, ASICS, Brooks, Lululemon, Ciele Athletics, Arc'Teryx, Tracksmith and Allbirds.
In summer of 2018 I was selected by Nike Los Angeles to be a Mentor for the Nike Women Marathon Project, which supported 35 first time marathoners (and many first time runners) through a comprehensive marathon training program. This was such a rewarding journey to share and I am continually inspired by how these 35 ladies keep the movement going by supporting other women who are setting goals for themselves, both as athletes and in communities and workplaces.
Additionally, in 2020 with the global pandemic impacting schools, businesses and life for all of us I decided to commit my time to a mentoring relationship through the non-profit Minds Matter LA. Minds Matter connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world. Through this program I spend a couple hours each Saturday learning from and supporting a smart, driven, young lady attending a local High School here in Los Angeles.
Ultra trail running, youth and community volunteer opportunties, running with Koreatown Run Club, exploring coffee shops, getting a good nap in, watching the Portland Trail Blazers basketball, and camping.
